Dealing with mental health conditions can be stressful. While it is hoped that ACDs will provide support and assistance to those affected by mental illness at key points, there are also fears that they may not work as anticipated.

In the this module we explore the hopes and fears of professionals and people who use services.

Advance choices and an improvement in involvement in care planning will undoubtedly bring added benefits to people who use services.

Expectations can bring with it hopes that involvement in care will improve but is balanced with fears of people who use services, carers and professionals about how it will all work.

In these videos we hear from various stakeholders on their hopes and fears for advance decision making going forward.
